About Me
Welcome to Pie Eyed, where pie’s aren’t square anymore! My obsession with baking has evolved into a new obsession with pie making. The problem – I don’t know how to make pie. I’m on the quest to learn to make the perfect pie – especially pie that isn’t pie. Handpies, pie on a stick, pie in a jar and other pie recipes that I have brewing in my mind.I have a secret dream to get so good over the winter that I can dabble in the spring farmer’s markets here in the Cleveland area.
We’re all a little drunk on pie around here. Follow me as we experiment with pie recipes and other fun baking challenges. Before you know it, we’ll all be a little pie eyed!
Good Luck Emily! Since I won’t be able to try it , unless you come to California, I’ll have to imagine the taste by looking at the pictures! Who knows maybe I’ll try a pie or two myself…it’s been awhile but I probably could still make one…

Lisa! You’re so sweet to humor my pie bend.
If you make some – let me know! I’m all for sharing recipes and successes. There must be some great pie in California!! Hope all is well your way – your kids are doing such great things!
Your mother is an awesome cook too. Her cabbage rolls are to die for and she just informed me that she will soon make paprikash for us. I really enjoyed your cranberry/apple pie post today. I hope to make it soon. Keep up the good work. Your site is awesome. Love it!
Sharon, thanks so much for reading my pie obsessions! Yes, my mother certainly has that Hungarian flare when it comes to cooking. I actually can’t cook to save my life, but at least I can bake! Let me know if you end up making the pie! Happy Holidays!
